Funds raised help our students and teachers benefit from a number of investments, including support for enrichment and remediation, professional development, safety and security upgrades, Jewish life and culture activities, and our Flex-Able Affordability Program for tuition assistance.
COVID-19 Health and Safety
Funds raised will help the school exceed the standards for health and safety protection during COVID-19 and beyond. Students and staff on both campuses benefit from over 50 premium air purification units for each classroom and common area, as well as plexiglass shields, masks and other personal protective equipment, and upgraded cleaning machinery and supplies.
COVID-19 Financial Relief
Many parents have lost jobs or seen a significant reduction in their income since the onset of the pandemic. This fund was established to ensure that any family in significant financial difficulty can continue to offer their child a leading education at SSA. Your support can help us be there for our community during a time of hardship.
Technology Innovation Program
Solomon Schechter Academy is a leader amongst the Jewish day schools in implementing a major upgrade to our technology. Each student in Kindergarten through Grade 6 is issued a new iPad or laptop. These devices enhance our in-school curriculum and ensure an equitable learning experience for all at home, should the need arise. In addition, major upgrades are being made to the wifi and server, to improve the stability and usability of our systems, including SmartBoards, robotics, laptops, and tablets.
Funds have been allocated
to projects that include:
Supporting families who might otherwise not be able to afford a Jewish education.
Ensuring that the Jewish community remains at the forefront of safety and security.
The addition of a Makerspace at Solomon Schechter Academy.
A brand-new playground for the Main Campus, designed together with our students.
We greatly appreciate and value your support
“Tuition pays for the education children at SSA need. Your contribution to our Annual Campaign helps me say yes to the education we want them to have.”
— Steven Erdelyi, Head of School at Solomon Schechter Academy
